About Andy Todd
"Having trained and competed at a high level in athletics I know the physical and psychological demands that are placed upon the body during sport. I am dedicated and passionate about treating and preventing sports injuries and am focussed on returning individuals to a normal working function as quickly and safely as possible." (Andy Todd, Sports Therapist).
Having graraduated from Loughborough University, in Applied Science, I decided to apply my knowledge towards the fitness industry, in order to coach, educate and develop the health of today's society. Whilst studying at Loughborough, I represented the University and Charnwood at an elite level in athletics, specialising in sprints (100m- 400m) and long jump. This allowed me to gain hands on experience within the areas of nutrition, physiology, psychology, sports analysis, and injury prevention, and combined with my academic background allowed me to develop my skills to an advanced level.
I have worked with a variety of clients from the general public to celebrities to world class Olympic athletes. I design goal orientated treatment programmes to suit their needs.
With over 6 years experience within the medical industry, A.T. Sports Therapy is now located at Abbey Sports & leisure Club in Leicester and The Gaia Holistic Therapy Centre in Loughborough, where you can experience either deep tissue sports and remedial massage therapy and advanced gym training/ rehab within a safe and professional environment.
I have been recognised as a key professional in the treatment and prevention of sports injuries in Leicestershire. As well as A.T. Sports therapy Andy also is contracted by Loughborough University as one of their in therapists within the university sports medicine team.
